Wilted Spinach Salad Recipe

We think this dish totally meets our need for the old-fashioned, wholesome diet that we occasionally seek. (yeah... we want to eat healthy, but we don't always stick with it...) Spinach is rich in calcium and potassium which are great for controlling blood pressure... (even though we haven't had a problem in this area yet....).... And mushrooms are good for ??? We don't know yet... may be you can tell us.... We think throwing in just a little bit of egg and a little bit of bacon crisps won't hurt. Afterall, our bodies all need protein to function, right?

Boy, this salad really tasted wonderful. It was easy to make and it's pretty filling. We were told that in the 30s and 40s, this salad was a popular dish served in elegant restaurants in America. The tuxedoed waiters back in those days flambed the dressing ingredients and tossed the salad tableside. Wow, we can imagine what an entertaining scene it must be.... We had never seen waiters made this salad at the tableside. As a matter of fact, we had never even seen this salad on the menus in the restaurants we visited. Fortunately, we can make this tasty salad at home with little effort, click here for the recipe.

Lemon Scented Broccolini

This is a recipe from the cookbook "Cooking Around the Clock - Rachael Ray 30 minutes Meals" . I made this as one of the side dishes for Rachael Ray's menu: "An All-American Supper". I think it's too blend and too plain. It doesn't have enough taste even though lemon zest is added. If you like plain tasting vegetable, then you can find the recipe on the Food Network website.

Veg•All® Vinaigrette Salad

This salad is so healthy, and the black beans in the salad provide all the fulfilling proteins that I need for a meal. It's extremely yummy so it becomes one of my favorite lunch salads with a piece of whole wheat garlic toast. It's a great lunch to be brought to work, and it's great lunch whenever I need to stay on diet for a couple weeks to lose some pounds. Most importantly, it takes no time to assemble and lunches like this just help me save a lot of money. You can find the recipe on this website.

Creamy Corn

This is a recipe from the cookbook "Cooking Around the Clock - Rachael Ray 30 minutes Meals" . I made this as one of the side dishes on Valentine's Day. It was so good. Everybody basically fought for the last corn kernel. Fantastic recipe. I used frozen corn and it tasted excellent and it saved me a lot of time. You can find this recipe on Food Network's website.
